FIBS Bot: TD_one

TD_one is a one-point match playing version of TD Gammon, the first neural net backgammon program, trained partly by pubeval. Its author, Gerry Tesauro (tesauro@watson.ibm.com, gerry on FIBS), put considerable work into the project which is reflected by TD_one's high FIBS rating; it outperforms most other bots despite predating them.

There are several accounts of TD Gammon's history and groundbreaking application of temporal difference (hence 'TD') learning in game programs. Probably the best is on Jay Scott's site.
