FIBS Bot: Abbott

Abbott was written by Gary Wong (gary@cs.auckland.ac.nz, GaryW on FIBS, URL: http://www.cs.auckland.ac. nz/~gary/) of Auckland University, New Zealand and released on FIBS in January 1998. It's based on pubeval.

After its debut, Abbott dropped to a 1300 rating on FIBS, similar to pubeval's rating. The initial version performed no lookahead, but since this was added, its rating has risen to the low 1500s. As far as I know, Abbott is the first variant of pubeval that plays on FIBS using lookahead.
